The Global Davit group name of Lms.-type liferaft cranes represents the simplest execution of slewing cranes for liferafts available: with manually driven slewing features. The systems are in full accordance with the present SOLAS-rules and are MED-certified.
This kind of davit is available in different sizes, suitable to handle all actual available sizes of davit launched liferafts from 12 persons capacity up to 39 persons capacity.
Each liferaft system consists of:
1. pedestal suitable for welding to deck
2. column with integrated manually driven slewing gear
3. arm in box shape construction
4. liferaft winch with centrifugal brake (optionally with electric motor for hoisting operations)
5. wire rope in galvanized (anti-corrosion) non-rotating steel
6. automatic release stainless steel hook
7. remote control of the stop-go type
Additionally for handling of a second liferaft:
1. liferaft winch with quick return for multiple raft handling
2. jockey pulley for retrieving of the empty hook
